Hawthorn Specialist Clinic is seeking a full-time Receptionist/Administration Officer to join our friendly and supportive team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our practice.

The successful candidate would need to work well as a part of a team, be confident, friendly, enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge. 

The Role

 Duties & Responsibilities include: 

Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and on the phone, with a friendly and professional manner
Scheduling and managing clinic appointments.
Liaising closely with Private hospitals, referrers and other healthcare professionals
Handing patients inquires and addressing their needs in a courteous and efficient manner
Accurately processing patient payments and managing financial transactions
Maintaining up-to-date patient records and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information
Assisting the Specialists with various administrative tasks as required
Contributing to the overall positive patient experience and promoting the practice's brand and reputation

 

To be successful, you will require: 

Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
Knowledge of implants, surgery, day procedure (GA) is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare providers, colleagues, and stakeholders in a empathetic manner.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in using dental practice management software (Gentu) is desirable. 
A friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to customer service
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to relevant healthcare regulations
Cert III or Cert IV dental assistance qualification- desirable.
