  • Role type:  Maximum term contract to December 2025. Part-time – 16 hours per week

  • Salary: $65,953.08- $ 70,456.21 + super

About the role

  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and treatments, including instrument handling and suctioning.

  • Prepare and support patients before and after procedures, ensuring comfort and delivering appropriate oral health care advice.

  • Manage clinical setup by preparing instruments, materials, and tray setups; coordinate with sterilisation services.

  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, entering patient data in ISOH/LIPO, and managing EFTPOS/HICAPS transactions.

  • Support clinic operations by maintaining stock levels, requesting medical/dental records, and assisting with dental laboratory tasks.

  • This is a 2 day per week role (between Monday to Friday).  The days will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

About you

  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or equivalent), with sound knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilisation procedures.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to ensure effective patient care and teamwork.

  • Proven understanding of infection control protocols, WHS regulations, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development within the dental field.

  • Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to support efficient day-to-day clinical operations.
