About the role
Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and treatments, including instrument handling and suctioning.
Prepare and support patients before and after procedures, ensuring comfort and delivering appropriate oral health care advice.
Manage clinical setup by preparing instruments, materials, and tray setups; coordinate with sterilisation services.
Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, entering patient data in ISOH/LIPO, and managing EFTPOS/HICAPS transactions.
Support clinic operations by maintaining stock levels, requesting medical/dental records, and assisting with dental laboratory tasks.
This is a 2 day per week role (between Monday to Friday). The days will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
About you
Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or equivalent), with sound knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilisation procedures.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to ensure effective patient care and teamwork.
Proven understanding of infection control protocols, WHS regulations, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development within the dental field.
Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to support efficient day-to-day clinical operations.
