About The Role
Working as a Dental Assistant is fast-paced and engaging with no two days exactly the same. A typical day may include assisting with dental procedures, preparing and cleaning up after procedures, administration and stock control and acting as the first point of contact for patients at reception.
We're looking for someone who has the ability to make patients feel comfortable and listened to. You’ll be putting patients first day in and day out, and with that comes an incredible sense of pride.
The Oral Health Service in Western NSW Local Health District provides free dental care to eligible patients in Western NSW and has a supportive and friendly culture. The Mudgee Community Dental Clinic is a modern 5 chair located within Mudgee Health Service.
The clinic provides outpatient care to eligible patients, support to inpatients and treatment as required under general anaesthetic. In addition, outreach services are provided to smaller rural communities in both fixed and mobile clinics. Care is also provided by final year dentistry and oral health therapy students on clinical placement.
