What You'll Be Doing
To provide a high standard of customer service to all Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Oral Health patients, visitors and employees in a manner consistent with the NSLHD Core Values and Behaviour Charter. To assist in the efficiency and functionality of the clinic and to help the clinic reach its goals set by the Clinical Director and Director.
The position is considered to be more experienced and capable of working in complex work environments and specialist areas and will undertake the full range of dental assistant duties.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Certificate IV in Dental Assisting recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or qualifications deemed by the Ministry to be equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in interacting and liaising with a wide range of internal stakeholders and members of the public.
- Demonstrated high level skills, knowledge and ability to provide competent dental assisting, including aseptic technique and 4 handed dentistry, to patients of all ages and medical complexities, ensuring excellence in patient care.
- Demonstrated advanced computer literacy, data entry and keyboard skills including using patient management systems e.g. Titanium.
- Significant experience in following effective infection control and sterilisation guidelines in all aspects of dental assisting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise workloads and operate as part of a team.
- Current valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel and work across all NSLHD dental clinics as required.
