About The Area
The Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA) is a key facility within UWA’s Dental School, providing specialized oral health care, education, and research. It serves as the primary hub for oral health training in the state, treating around 14,000 patients annually. OHCWA collaborates with the Department of Health and other educational institutions to deliver comprehensive clinical and technical training programs, equipping the next generation of dental professionals.
About The Opportunity
- Provide clinical assistance to dental students and OHCWA clinical staff during patient treatment.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and hygiene throughout the clinic.
- Provide patient care and conduct administrative duties as required within the clinic.
About You
- Completion of Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dental Clinic Assisting or equivalent qualification.
- Current knowledge of dental assisting procedure and experience in dental assistance within public dental or teaching facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Note: A Current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check will be required by the successful applicant.
